Taiwan in Rose Parade

On January 1st, the 121st Rose Parade took place in Pasadena, California. China Airlines which represented Taiwan won again the “International Trophy- the most beautiful entry form outside the United States”. By watching the parade on TV could not fulfill my satisfaction, so we drove up to Pasadena to see the floats, to feel the excitement, and smell the fragrance from the gorgeous roses!

The China Airlines float for this year is “Guardian of Taiwan -"The Third Prince (Nezha)". It is a character from the Chinese mythology who subdued demons. The Third Prince is holding a spear, riding a flaming wheel, and led by a golden dragon.

This at least 35 ft high, 18 ft wide, and 55 ft long colorful Nezha and a lively golden dragon have attracted visitors’ attention from distance.

Just would like to share with you some photos of this splendid float from Taiwan on this short post!

Happy New Year to all of you! Read More
